Hun Many Holds Bilateral Talks with US Ambassador to Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: At the request of the US Embassy in Cambodia, the Chairman of the National Assembly Committee on Education, Youth, Sports, Cult, Religious Affairs, Culture and Tourism, HUN Many, met with the US Ambassador to Cambodia, W. Patrick Murphy, and his colleagues on Monday morning at the Seventh Commission Hall of the National Assembly.

During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views and experiences on bilateral cooperation between the two countries, which has a solid foundation and progress.

In addition to addressing issues related to the Commission's responsibilities, including education, tourism and culture, the talks also focused on Cambodia's ASEAN Chairmanship, as well as a number of challenges. These include the political crisis in Myanmar, the problems that have been happening in Ukraine, as well as traditional and non-traditional security issues such as climate change.

The meeting also highlighted preparations for the ASEAN Summit and other related summits (especially the ASEAN-US Summit), as well as other important points.
